To qualify for this benefit, the Veteran or surviving spouse must meet the following criteria:

• Be at least 65 years old.
• Be a Veteran, the spouse of a living Veteran, or the surviving spouse of a Veteran.
• The Veteran must have served a minimum of 90 days of active military duty during a recognized wartime period (WWII, Korean War, or Vietnam War).
• The Veteran must have received an honorable discharge.
• Meet specific financial eligibility requirements.
• Require regular help with daily activities such as bathing, grooming, or meal preparation to remain independent at home or in their chosen place of residence.xxx
